I think its actually an issue with the currently available install. What version of Java are you using? My guess is that it is 1.6. (Type java -version at the Command prompt -- Start:Accessories:Command IIRC.)

I'm running on Windows XP professional, service pack 2, the files you mentioned have today as their creation date, and the "build path" location is correct. What can I post to help you determine what's wrong on my end?

OK folks, I think I have a fix for this. Please download the enclosed file and replace the current version of org.ascape.common.lib with it. You should quit Eclipse before doing this.

Oh and the silly uploader renamed it -- you'll need to manually change the name to (exactly) org.ascape.common.lib_5.0.1.jar

Does the attached file need to be renamed org.ascape.common.lib_...?
When I try to run the prisoner's sample I get the following error:
